Ångström Droids develops technology across three connected areas: robotic actuation, optical metrology, and real-time FPGA compute. Together, these technologies provide the means to control physical motion, measure the behavior of machines, and process those measurements in real time.
Our product line includes standalone precision actuators, calibrated optical encoders, and FPGA-based control systems and cores. These products provide concrete building blocks for precision motion, measurement, and control.
Between these standard products is a broader range of systems that can be configured around a particular application. The same underlying technologies can be combined and adapted across actuation, measurement, control, haptics, and supporting infrastructure.
These technologies can be composed around a particular requirement rather than forcing the requirement into a fixed machine. A device, actuator, control system, measurement architecture, and supporting infrastructure can be specified together as a single recipe. The result can range from a standard product configuration to a bespoke system built for one application.
This approach allows a customer to start with an existing product or configure a system around the specific mechanical, electrical, computational, and measurement requirements of their application.
